The second part of Digimon Adventure tri., Ketsui, premiered 12 March, last Saturday, and a special stage event was held in Shinjuku Wald 9 during that day, and several cast members, led by the stars of Part 2, Junya Ikeda (Joe Kidou) and Hitomi Yoshida (Mimi Tachikawa) were present when the movie was shown,

The seiyuu for Joe and Mimi’s two partner Digimon, Junko Takeuchi, who voices Gomamon, and Kinoko Yamada, who voices Palmon, were also present. Together, the four seiyuu took to the stage with mascots of Agumon and Gabumon, and announced that the third part of Digimon Adventure tri., Kokuhaku, or Confession, will be making its premiere on 24 September.

Part 2 focused on the struggles of Mimi, who is having trouble re-adjusting to life in Japan after living in the United States, and Joe, who is having a bit of an identity crisis, with questions of his priorities coming up in the film, so it was no surprise that the four seiyuu were the ones chosen to announce the release date for the next movie.

Originally planned to be a TV anime, Digimon Adventure tri. has now been released as a six-part movie series, with the first and second movies being released as four separate episodes each outside of Japan. More details on part 3 will be revealed soon, so stay tuned here at AFA Channel for more details.
