Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away is a classic and has even become the only Japanese anime to ever win an Oscar award. That classic has been turned into glorious 8-bit format and shortened to four and a half minutes, all thanks to CineFix’s 8-Bit Cinema.

The video features a MIDI version of the movie’s score by Joe Hisaishi to really bring out that 8-bit video game feel. The video somewhat captures Spirited Away’s atmosphere with some of the anime movie’s most unforgettable characters from No Face to Yubaba.

CineFix’s 8-Bit Cinema also turns other feature-length films like Titanic and Frozen, as well as TV shows like the Walking Dead, into 8-bit characters which also have that retro video game feel
