ufotable’s anime adaptation of the hit video game series, God Eater, has been getting a whole lot of hype. During the Machi Asobi event in Tokushima, Japan, the upcoming anime’s staff, led by director Takayuki Hirao, who did work for the video game’s many animation sequences and OP movie, has unveiled the upcoming anime’s new key visual image, as well as revealed a PV.
The new event visual revealed that the God Eater anime adaptation will premiere this 5 July 2015 via Tokyo MX and BS11 in Japan. They also revealed a new PV during the event and Bandai Visual has now started streaming that very promotional video via their official youtube channel.

It was also revealed that Ryuichi Kijima, who mostly voices extras in several anime, as well as voicing Argyllo in Beast Saga, will be voicing the main character of the series, Renka Utsugi. He bested 100 other seiyuus just to get that role.
During the event presentation, it was also announced that OLDCODEX will be performing the anime’s theme song
And speaking of Machi Asobi, God Eater was all over the place as its official twitter page,
