New details on the third Initial D Legend movie have finally been revealed, and the movie will finally be hitting Japanese theaters next year starting 6 February 2016. The new announcements also included the movie’s title, which will be titled “Shin Gekijou-ban Initial D Legend 3 -Yumeutsutsu-“.
Yumeutsutsu means half awake or half asleep, and it will be the final movie of the three-part animated movie series. The movie’s key visual image has also been unveiled:
SANZIGEN will once again be animating the movie, with the rest of the cast from the first two Legend movies returning, with Mamoru Miyano (Gundam 00’s Setsuna F. Seiei) as Takumi Fujiwara, Daisuke Ono (Black Butler’s Sebastian Michaelis) as Ryousuke Takahashi, Yuuichi Nakamura (Fairy Tail’s Gray Fullbuster) as Keisuke Takahashi, Maaya Uchida (Chuunibyou’s Rikka Takanashi) as Natsuki Mogi, Minoru Shiraishi (Lucky Star’s Minoru Shiraishi) as Itsuki Takeuchi, Junichi Suwabe (Fate/ Stay Night’s Archer EMIYA) as Takeshi Nakazato, and Hiroaki Hirata (One Piece’s Sanji) as Bunta Fujiwara.
The first movie was shown in Japan last August 2014 and was also shown in Singapore last December 2015. The second movie, Shin Gekijo-ban Initial D: Legend 2 -Tousou-, was shown in Japan last May. So who is ready to see their final ride?
