The second season of the popular volleyball anime, Haikyuu!!, has now officially premiered in Japan. To help promote the new season, Karasuno High School’s resident spikers are were featured in several larger-than-life mosaics that measure approximately 2m x 30m.

According to Haikyuu’s official website, the mosaics are using up to 31,500 shots, all of which are taken from scenes in the anime. These mosaics also feature the 10 Karasuno High School volleyball team members, Shoyo Hinata, Tobio Kageyama, Daichi Sawamura, Koshi Sugawara, Asahi Azumane, Ryunosuke Tanaka, Yu Nishinoya, Chikara Ennoshita, Kei Tsukishima and Tadashi Yamaguchi.

These mosaic artworks are now being shown in six different Japanese cities, namely Shibuya’s Metro Shibuya Station Hanzomon side concourse (for Tokyo), Sapporo’s Namboku Sapporo Station, Sendai’s JR Senseki Sendai Station east exit, Nagoya’s JR Tokai Nagoya Station, Osaka’s JR West Osaka Station, and Fukuoka’s Fukuoka Tenjin Subway Station. Sadly however, these mosaics have already been taken down as of 4 October 2015 as the promotional period was only from 28 September until 4 October.
