The RX-78-2 Gundam rising from its slumber for the first time after being activated by Amuro Ray is one of the most iconic scenes in the history of the entire Gundam franchise, and now, the same animation team behind the Gundam the Origin anime have recreated that scene as a test footage for their version of the legendary “White Devil.”

This is the recreation of the scene where Zaku II’s attack Side 7, and Amuro Ray is forced to pilot the Gundam. It was also shown during the limited theatrical screening of Mobile Suit Gundam the Origin II: Artesia’s Sorrow.
