Being a full-time mangaka is hard. You have to work more than 12 hours a day, make sure your quality of work is consistent, make sure your story will be good, and you must meet strict deadlines. However, after all that stress at work, some mangakas find comfort in some furry feline friends. One particular example is critically acclaimed horror mangaka, Junji Ito, who is definitely not shy about having some feline furballs. He’s even written a manga about them!

But one new photo collection book takes an even closer look at these mangaka-cat relationships, and it shows the cats of some very famous mangaka, who also get to illustrate their beloved pet kitties, awwwwwwwwww.

The new book is titled Mangaka no Neko (Mangaka & Cat), and it features the lovable furballs belonging to the likes of Arina Tanemura (Neko to Watashi no Kinyoubi, Idol Dreams), Tomoko Ninomiya (Nodame Cantabile), Utako Yukihiro (Devils and Realist), naked ape (Switch), Ryo Ikuemi (Pops, Cousin, Nina, My Love), Ai Kozaki (Asahinagu), and Shinobu Takayama (Giniro Ookami to Akazukin, Amatsuki).

The book was released back in 31 October 2015 and features illustrations from these famous mangakas as well.
