[NEWS] Akagami no Shirayukihime season 2 reveals more cast , key visual

Returning this winter in 2016, Akagami no Shirayukihime season 2 is sure to sweep the hearts of many.

Following the last adventure, Shirayuki (CV:Saori Hayami) is now working as an apprentice-pharmacist at the palace, while Zen (CV:Ryouta Ohsaka) is still the second prince of Clarines Kingdom. At the start of the new season, Shirayuki will be invited back to Tanbarun Kingdom, her home country, for an official function.

There she will meet Prince Eugena , second prince of Tanbarun Kingdom, voiced by Mikako Komatsu ( Hotaru Tachibana in Aoharu x Kikanjuu) as well as his sister, Princess Rona , voiced by Inori Minase (Mo Ritika Tzetzes Ura in Comet Lucifer).

Along the way, Shirayuki will also meet Kazuki, voiced by Sachi Kokuryu ( Makunouchi Ippo in Hajime no Ippo:Rising) and his friend Itoya, voiced by Shintaro Asanuma ( Arthur in Kuroshitsuji: Book of Murder) .

The new season will have Saori Hayami reprise to sing the opening theme , “Sono Koe ga Chizu ni Naru” and eyelis singing the ending theme, “Page~Kimi to Tsuzuru Monogatari”. Both singers sang the opening and ending theme song of Akagami no Shirayukihime Season 1. The new season will premiere in January.

Akagami no Shirayukihime is written by Sorata Akizuki and serialized in the monthly Lala Magazine since 10 August 2006. It tells the benevolent tale of Shirayuki (CV: Saori Hayami) and her adventures in the Kingdom of Clarines.

Shirayuki was once a citizen of Tanbarun Kingdom whose prized beauty was known throughout the land. Her beauty resonated and captured the attention of the current prince of the Kingdom. The prince, Prince Raji Shenazard (CV: Jun Fukuyama), orders Shirayuki to become one of his concubine.

Wanting to flee her fate, Shirayuki escapes into the neighboring country, Clarines Kingdom. On her way, she meets Zen (CV: Ryouta Ohsaka), a wandering boy who helps her escape after healing him. What fate awaits Shirayuki in the new Kingdom? Will Shirayuki lived happily ever after? Akagami no Shirayukihime Season 1 ended on 21 September 2015 roughly covering until  Volume 4 Chapter 17 of the manga.

The manga is still ongoing with the latest compiled volume, volume 15, shipping on 5 Jan 2016. Volume 15 will also be bundled with an original anime.
