Looks like Boruto: Naruto the Movie ain’t going to be the final Naruto story after all, as a new countdown timer website has been opened, and it teases to the “Next generation” of ninjas from Masashi Kishimoto’s beloved ninja franchise.

Featuring the silhouettes of Konoha’s next generation of ninjas (most prominently Boruto and Sarada), the new countdown timer is scheduled to reach zero on 19 December 2015 at around 3:30 p.m. JST, which coincidentally, is timed along with when the Naruto stage event ends during the Jump Festa 2015.

Naruto mangaka, Masashi Kishimoto, famously said that he wanted to rest after finishing Naruto on a high note with 700 chapters, and it did seem that he really wanted to have Boruto: Naruto the Movie as the final story in the Naruto franchise, however, this new countdown timer says otherwise. Hopefully, Kishimoto has been well rested since famously saying “Please, let me rest.”

So what do you guys think the countdown timer will lead to? Will it be a new manga by Kishimoto focusing on Boruto? A new anime series? A new movie focusing on Naruto and Hinata’s son? Looks like we will find out on the 19th of this month!
