[ANIME] Rie Kugimiya, Ryoko Shiraishi, and More Join Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya 3rei, While ChouCho Performs OP, Magical Sapphire's new seiyuu announced

During the Machi Asobi Vol. 16 event in Tokushima, there was a stage presentation for the upcoming Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya 3rei TV anime. The stage event featured a panel consisting of Mai Kadowaki (voices Illyasviel Von Einzbern), Kadokawa Shoten producer Jun’ichirou Tamura, and animation producer Hayato Kaneko.

The panel, together with a cosplayer for Illya, announced that the upcoming anime’s OP theme song will once again be performed by ChouCho, while the ED song will be performed by TECHNOBOYS PULCRAFT GREEN-FUND feat. Koda Yumeha, who performed the theme song for Mr. Osomatsu. They also announced several new cast additions, and they are:

Misato Fukuen as Tanaka

Rie Kugimiya as Beatrice Flowerchild

Ryoko Shiraishi as Angelica

They also announced that Sumire Morohishi will also be joining the cast as Erika. They also announced the seiyuu who will be taking on the role of Magical Sapphire, whose seiyuu, Miyu Matsuki, had passed away last year. Taking over the late Miyu Matsuki is Yumi Kakazu, who is best known for voicing Yu-Gi-Oh!’s Anzu Masaki and Vandread’s Dia Liabely.

Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya 3rei will be part of the summer 2016 anime season, and will begin airing in Japan starting 6 July. Mai Kadowaki will be reprising her role as Illyasviel Von Einzbern, while Kaori Nazuka will be reprising her role as Miyu. A new key visual for the anime was also revealed, with Mai Kadowaki posing with it during Machi Asobi Vol. 16.
