Toei Animation’s official website for the upcoming Digimon Universe: Appli Monsters TV anime has been updated, and it has revealed a brand new TVCM which is now airing in Japan.

The new video introduces us to the protagonist, Haru Shinkai, who is voiced by Yumi Uchiyama (The Heroic Legend of Arslan’s Etoile and Asterisk War’s Irene Urzaiz), as well as Haru’s partner Digimon, Gatchmon, voiced by Kokoro Kikuchi (PreCure’s Potpourri).
The website also revealed that Amatsuki will be performing the anime’s OP theme song, while Love Live! seiyuu, Riho Iida (Rin Hoshizora) will be performing the ED song.
The anime will be premiering this 1 October 2016 at 7:00 am (JST) via TV Tokyo. This new Digimon anime will be introducing us to the Appli Monsters, or Appmon, who live in our smartphones. However, trouble seems to be brewing as these appmon have been taken control of by an AI known as Leviathan.
