Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale is certainly one of the most anticipated anime films to be shown this year. During the World Cosplay Summit in Nagoya, the film’s staff confirmed the global screening by announcing that it will be shown across 1,000 screens across the entire world.
A trailer for the movie was also shown during the event, and it was featured in Japanese audio with Japanese, English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Korean, and Thai subtitles. No details as to which countries that Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale’s 1,000 screens will be shown in have been revealed as of writing.
Series creator, Reki Kawahara is also writing the story for the movie, which is set after the events of Mother’s Rosario. The original cast from the TV anime are also making their return, and they are:

- Haruka Tomatsu as Asuna
- Rina Hidaka as Silica
- Ayahi Takagaki as Lisbeth
- Miyuki Sawashiro as Sinon
- Hiroaki Hirata as Klein
