Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale is one of 2017’s most highly-anticipated films. The movie is set to premiere in Japan on 18th February, and what better way to promote it than to have a 2-foot sword be released as its Advance ticket?!

These swords are actually released because of a pun. The word “ken”, which usually means “sword” in japan, also means “ticket”. These ticket swords cost 2,000 yen. They are made of Styrene board and measure 72cm in length.

The Aniplex Booth will be selling these advance ticket swords during Comiket 91, which takes place at the Tokyo Big Sight in Odaiba from 29 – 31 December 2016. You can find the Aniplex Booth at Tokyo Big Sight’s #2232 in West 2 Hall.
