Crayon Shin-chan’s titular character has himself into trouble plenty of times by now. Just imagine how much trouble he can do if he learns the art of Kung Fu. This is because for the 26th Crayon Shin-chan film, it will be taking on a Kung Fu-theme! The staff revealed new details on the upcoming film, which has the title, “Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Bakumori! Kung-Fu Boys ~Ramen Tairan~” (Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Bakumori! Kung-Fu Boys Ramen Rebellion)

The staff also revealed that the film will premiere in spring 2018, during the Golden Week holidays. Its setting will be Kusakabe, Saitama’s own Chinatown, also called Aiyaatown. The anime’s staff revealed a Japan-only teaser, which features Shin-chan doing some Kung Fu.

Crayon Shin-chan Bakusui! Yumemi World Dai Totsugeki director Wataru Takahashi will once again direct the film. He will once again work with screenwriter Kimiki Ueno, who’s also returning to the franchise. Its 25th film, “Shurai! Uchuujin Shiriri” debuted last April at #2 in the box office.
