In the interview, he said that he would also throw his hat in as a producer to make the film. He also said he’ll pay homage to the original anime by mimicking mangaka Hajime Isayama’s style. He would do so by angling camera shots reminiscent of the angles the mangaka made in his work. “I love them swinging into action and you have a panning shot just following them, cruising on by as they cut off the napes. That would be real cool!”, says Boyega.

As for the choice of actors, the Star Wars star he says “I’d definitely cast a whole bunch of Japanese actors to play the part, but it would look epic. It would be pretty darn cool.”

And it looks like his latest film would really help, as he’s also taking on giant monsters in Pacific Rim: Uprising. He plays Jake Pentecost, the son of Idris Elba’s character in the original, Stacker Pentecost. The film opens this month across the world.
