“Kaiju Girls BLACK” — known as “Kaiju Musume KURO” in Japanese, has announced that it will be releasing a theatrical version on 23rd November 2018! To make things even sweeter for Kaiju Musume fans, they will also be holding the special event “Ultraman Festival” at Ikebukuro Sunshine City in Tokyo from 20th July to 27th August 2018.
Kaiju Girls first aired as a series of animated shorts in September 2016; the show featured the enemy monsters from the Ultraman series reimagined as cute girls. The plot revolves around a group of ordinary girls who contain the souls of kaiju defeated by Ultramen in the past. As these girls have the ability to transform into their respective giant monsters, an organization called GIRLS has been formed to round them up.
