Looks like it’s not just Dwango who will be releasing a new Pokemon mobile game this year. This is because Ambrella is returning to the franchise to develop the Pokemon Rumble Rush (known as Pokemon Scramble SP in Japan) game. They describe it as an “exhilarating strike action game” that will be available for iOS and Android devices.

The game itself is the launch of the Pokeland smartphone game, which opened alpha testing back in 2017. It lets players travel uncharted islands to meet and battle various Pokemon. The islands and games chanmge every two weeks, and it has several features to let people upgrade their Pokemon and use different moves.

The game will launch “soon” globally, though it is reportedly already available in Australia. Like most smartphone games, it will be free-to-play with online purchases.
