With the addition of characters from Shield Hero, Isekai Quartet will now be a Quintet. But despite that, the anime is retaining the “Quartet” title and has now released a brand new trailer, which also teases Naofumi, Raphtalia, and Filo.

The Shield Hero trio will all be meeting the characters from the other isekai anime in what promises to be yet another hilarious encounter in the chaotic crossover anime. And speaking of Isekai Quartet, here’s the anime’s new key visual, which sadly doesn’t feature the three new additions yet:

The new PV announces that the anime will premiere in January 2020. Minoru Ashina (Kaiju Girls) is both directing the series, as well as writing the scripts. Meanwhile, Minoru Takehara is serving as both character designer and chief animation director over at Studio Puyukai.

Isekai Quartet follows the characters from four (and now five) Isekai anime, namely Re:Zero, Overlord, Konosuba, and The Saga of Tanya (and now The Rising of the Shield Hero). The characters from these anime find a mysterious red button which transport them to yet another isekai… but now have to live the lives of regular high school students.
