Sometimes, children follow in their parents’ footsteps. This happens in a lot of industries, from business to law enforcement, and even entertainment. One son aiming to follow his father’s footsteps is rookie seiyuu Kouki Koyasu. In an episode of the radio show, “Game Center Waraji”, the up and comer admitted his father is none other than Gundam SEED and Gintama seiyuu, Takehito Koyasu.
After his big reveal, fans on social media noticed the family resemblance as well:
Did you see the resemblance?
The younger Koyasu just made his debut in March, only voicing extras, including a Chaldea employee in Fate/Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia. During the radio show, he admitted to being a huge gamer, often playing games with his family in his down time.
As for dear old dad, the older Koyasu has plenty of iconic roles. This includes voicing Dio Brando in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, as well as Shinsuke Takasugi in Gintama. He also voiced Mu la Flaga in Gundam SEED and Gundam SEED Destiny as well.
