BANDAI NAMCO has announced via an official press release that the company will be donating JPY 100M to the World Health Organization (WHO) as part of the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. The donation will be routed mainly via the Japan Center for International Exchange.

An unofficial translation of the press release follows:

We at BANDAI NAMCO would like to express our utmost sympathy and deepest condolences to those who passed away due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). We also sincerely hope that those who were affected will recover as soon as possible.

The BANDAI NAMCO Group, in order to help the World Health Organization (WHO) respond to the coronavirus disease, will contribute JPY 100 million to the “COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for WHO”, established by the United Nations Foundation and the Swiss Philanthropy Foundation.

The main contribution will be made through the Japan International Exchange Center, which is a public foundation for the fund in Japan. Following this donation, we will continue to provide donations and support through our products and services, with the participation of our group executives and employees from around the world.

In these difficult times, we at the BANDAI NAMCO Group believe that people’s hearts need dreams and fun, and that it is the purpose of the BANDAI NAMCO Group to provide “Dreams | Fun | Emotions,” to people around the world. We hope that the situation improves as soon as possible, and we will continue to give our best at what we do.
