Creative software company MediBang‘s ART Street project will be organizing the “JUMP TEZUKA MANGA CONTEST 100th Anniversary” competition and has announced a special “Oversea Department Special Award” aimed at non-Japanese artists. The competition is held to celebrate the 100th “TEZUKA MANGA CONTEST”, which is organised semi-annually by Shueisha’s “Weekly Shounen Jump“.

Mediband ART Street’s “JUMP TEZUKA MANGA CONTEST 100th Anniversary – Oversea Department Special Award” is open to entries in the following major languages: English, Spanish, Chinese (Simplified/Traditional), and Korean. Entries will be judged by “DRAGON BALL” author Akira Toriyama, “ONE PIECE” author Eiichiro Oda, “Blue Exorcist” author Kazue Kato, “My Hero Academia” author Kohei Horikoshi, “Slam Dunk” author Takehiko Inoue, and representatives from Tezuka Productions.

The winning artists will be invited on an all-expense-paid trip to the awards ceremony in Tokyo by Shueisha. The Grand Prize Winner, Runner-Up, and Honorable Mentions will receive JPY 2M, JPY1M, and JPY 500,000 respectively. The Grand Prize Winner and Runner Up will also have their work published in “Weekly Shounen Jump”
