My Hero Academia The Ultra Stage Real Heroes PLUS ULTRA ver.” — scheduled to start performances on 17th July 2020 with no live audience present, has been postponed after two additional individuals in the production team tested positive for COVID-19. The postponement was announced via the show’s official Twitter account.

A partial and unofficial translation of the announcement follows:

Thank you for always supporting “My Hero Academia The Ultra Stage Real Heroes PLUS ULTRA ver.”

Before the rehearsals of the postponed performance with no live audience present, all members of the production team had undergone PCR testing, as part of Tokyo’s measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. As a result, two new cases were found to be positive.

After checking with public health authorities, it was deemed that no close contact was made with people involved in the performance as it happened prior to rehearsals.

However, it has become difficult to restart the production, and after repeated discussions with the organisers, the show is postponed until further notice.

We sincerely apologise for any concern or inconvenience we have caused, and thank you all very much for your understanding.
