The BD and DVD box sets of the theatrical-length adaptation of Kii Kanna’s “Umibe no Étranger” will be out 20th January 2021. A special message video featuring starring voice actors Taishi Murata and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka accompanied the release announcement.

“Umibe no Étranger” was serialised in Shoudensha’s boys love anthology magazine onBLUE from 2013-2014 and has a one-volume tankoubon release, as well as an ongoing sequel series titled “Harukaze no Étranger”. The hit film adaptation was released in Japanese cinemas 11th September 2020.

The film will follow a high school student named Mio Chibana, who would later meet a rookie novelist named Shun Hashimoto in an island in Okinawa. The two get close, but would later have to separate. But three years later, they would meet again.
