The second season of the TV anime adaptation of Kumo Kagyu’s light novel “GOBLIN SLAYER” has been officially announced, with a teaser PV dropped to accompany the news. The cast from the hit first season is set to reprise their roles, including Yuichiro Umehara, Yui Ogura, Nao Toyama, Yuka Iguchi, Maaya Uchida, Yuichi Nakamura, Tomokazu Sugita, Yoko Hikasa, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, and many others.

The official English publisher Yen Press describes the series as:

A young priestess has formed her first adventuring party, but almost immediately they find themselves in distress. It’s the Goblin Slayer who comes to their rescue–a man who’s dedicated his life to the extermination of all goblins, by any means necessary. And when rumours of his feats begin to circulate, there’s no telling who might come calling next…

The first episode of the TV anime drew flak from many corners due to its violent depiction of death and sexual attacks, but these eventually died down since even Japan’s media watchdog Broadcasting Ethics & Program Improvement Organization dismissed these claims as unsubstantiated. You can brush up on the complete first season via Netflix.
