A special screening and talk show with Director Hiroyuki Imaishi will be held to commemorate the 2nd Anniversary of the movie “PROMARE“. The event will be held on 29th May 2021 at the Japan Pavilion Hall B in Tokorozawa Sakura Town, Saitama Prefecture. Aside from Director Imaishi, character designer Shigeto Koyama and creative director Hiromi Wakabayashi will also be on stage for the talk show. T

“The World of Hiroyuki Imaishi” exhibition will also run in Saitama Prefecture, at the EJ Anime Museum in Kadokawa Musashino Museum, from 29th May to 27th June 2021. The displays will include his many works in his 25-year career as an animator and animation director.

Hiroyuki Imaishi is one of the co-founders of Studio Trigger, and first gained recognition for his work as an animator and director at Gainax, where he worked on titles such as “Evangelion” and “FLCL”. Aside from “PROMARE”, he also directed other legendary shows such as “Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann” and “Kill la Kill”.
