Via Comic Natalie: the “GUNDAM Manhole” project — which aims to install original Gundam-designed manhole covers in cities across Japan, will unveil its first two in Odawara City, Kanagawa Prefecture on August 1st; Odawara City is the birthplace of Yoshiyuki Tomino, the creator of “GUNDAM”. The two covers will feature Amuro’s GUNDAM RX-2 and Char’s Z’Gok.

The “GUNDAM Manhole” Project is part of the “GUNDAM Project” undertaken by the BANDAI NAMCO Group. In cooperation with local governments nationwide, manhole covers featuring Gundam characters and mobile suits will be installed in various locations throughout the country, to connect with Gundam fans across generations.
