Via Famitsu: Universal Studios Japan has announced the expansion of “Super Nintendo World” in 2024, to include a new “Donkey Kong” area! The new ​​”Donkey Kong” area will be located adjacent to the Peach Castle and the Bowser Castle in the “Super Mario” area, increasing the park’s area to almost twice its size.

“Super Nintendo World” is dubbed the world’s first theme park section centred on Nintendo characters and their world. One of the main attractions is “MARIOKART Koopa’s Challenge”, where riders don special AR goggles in the shape of Mario’s hat, to play a round of Mario Kart. Race results are determined by how well the riders drive through the course.
