Via Nijimen: the TV anime “Yojohan Time Machine Blues” “I” has announced that voice actors Shintaro Asanuma, Maaya Sakamoto, Hiroyuki Yoshino, Kazuya Nakai, Junichi Suwabe, and Yuko Kaida will be starring in the sequel to Tomihiko Morimi’s “The Tatami Galaxy”.

“Yojohan Time Machine Blues” will be animated by Science SARU and directed by Shingo Natsume — who worked with Science SARU founder, Director Masaaki Yuasa, of “The Tatami Galaxy”, “Devilman Crybaby” and “Japan Sinks” fame.

A cult favourite since it first aired in 2010, “The Tatami Galaxy” follows the story of the Protagonist, a student at Kyoto University, who joins a different university club (or “circle”) at the beginning of each episode — triggering a series of events that are eerily similar but ever so slightly different.

The show has been announced as part of Disney+ anime line-up in 2022, alongside “Summer Time Rendering” and “Black ★★ Rock Shooter DAWN FALL”.
