To promote the upcoming Yowamushi Pedal the Movie, the series has teamed up with the Japanese daily newspaper, Nikkan Sports, for a special 32-page, full-color newspaper. The special print not only take a look at the various anime’s events, but includes a few articles about the production as well.

Scheduled to hit news stands in Japan on 11 August, the “Yowamushi Pedal Shimbun (Yowamushi Pedal Newspaper)” will also contain an interview with the series’ mangaka, Wataru Watanabe, who not only wrote the draft for the movie, but supervised it as well. It costs 350 yen and will also feature comments from the seiyuus as well as information on the various courses featured in the series.

Besides the newspaper, YowaPeda will also be sponsoring its own road race to help promote the movie. This time, they are teaming up with Good Smile Company, for a race known as the Yowamushi Pedal Cycle Road Race.

Good Smile Company has been in partnership with YowaPeda over several anime merchandise, figures, and cycling gear, and they are even conducting their own bike races, which is the Good Smile Racing Cup.

The race will be held at the HERO Shinoi Circuit in Utsunomiya, Japan on 26 September. It will be split into three different races, namely the standard bike race, the team race, which requires teams of three to enter, and the endurance race, which tests the limits of each cyclist.

The movie meanwhile will open in Japanese theaters on 28 August 2015.
