Slated for release sometime in 2016 (no exact release date has been announced), the movie will star Kento Yamazaki, who currently stars in the live-action Death Note TV series as L. He will be playing the role of Kousei Arima, the genius child musician who has quit playing the piano after his abusive mother passed away. Yamazaki admitted that playing Kousei would be a challenge, as his personal struggles are quite heavy.
