After being left at the edge of their seats by the end of its first run, the fans of GATE were rejoicing when a second season was confirmed for January. Warner Brothers Animation has just started streaming a brand new promo video for that very second season, which will be adapting the novels’ Flame Dragon arc:

The video not only sets you up for the second season with all the excitement, intrigue, and perceived one-sided beatdowns due to technological superiority, but also teases you with its OP song, which is titled g “GATE II ~Sekai o Koete~” by Kishida Kyoudan & The Akeboshi Rockets, who also performed the OP song for the first season.

The video also reveals that the anime will be aired late at night, at 1:05 a.m., starting 9 January 2016. Meanwhile, the seiyuu trio of Hisako Kanemoto (Tuka Luna Marceau), Nao Touyama (Lelei la Lelena), and Risa Taneda (Rory Mercury), will be performing the anime’s ED song, though no title has been announced for that song thus far.
