The April 2016 edition of Nakayoshi magazine has revealed that the new 20th anniversary project for Cardcaptor Sakura will be a new manga by CLAMP. This fulfills the earlier promise by the shoujo manga magazine of a 20th anniversary project for the classic magical girl manga, which will be launched later this year.

The group of mangaka known as CLAMP first introduced Cardcaptor Sakura back in 1996, and was serialized in Nakayoshi magazine. 2016 marks the series’ 20th anniversary, and the celebrations are only beginning as more merchandise and events are expected to be slated this year, and that includes a 20th anniversary cover compilation by CLAMP, which will be released this March.
