It seems like it’s not just Masumi Asano (Hayate the Combat Butler!’s Risa Asakaze, Psycho-Pass’s Risa Aoyanagi, and Ikki Tousen’s Hakufu Sonsaku, Sore ga Seiyuu mangaka) who is leading a double life as both a seiyuu and a mangaka, but Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as well!

Matsuoka, who is best known for his roles as Sword Arty Online’s Kirito and Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma’s Souma Yukihira, will be making his debut as a mangaka with a new series titled CV Ore! Character Voice. Much like Masumi Asano with Sore Ga Seiyuu!, he will be serving as the manga’s writer, providing the story with Big Hero 6 mangaka, Haruki Ueno, providing the art.

Also like Masumi Asano’s Sore Ga Seiyuu!, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka’s manga will be following the seiyuu industry. CV Ore! Character Voice will be following a rookie seiyuu named Chuuta Oyamada, who finally makes it to an agency and lands a role… as Villager A.

This will be Matsuoka’s first time writing the story for a manga, and like Asano, it is expected that he will be using his industry experience as part of the story. For the manga, he will be known under the pen name, Tatsuya Yukimura. The CV Ore! Character Voice manga’s first volume is slated for release in Japan on 17 May 2016.
