Marvel is big in Japan, and in their latest team-up, Kodansha and Marvel Comics are creating a special award to gauge the creativity of Japanese artists in using characters who already exist. For this, they have created the  Magazine “Marvel” Manga Award.

Those who want to join must use four existing Marvel franchise in their works, namely Iron Man, Captain America, Spider-Man, and Guardians of the Galaxy. Submission of entries will only be open until 28th February 2017. Winners will be announced in the middle of May 2017, inside the pages of Weekly Shounen Magazine,

Entrants must also impress a panel of some of the biggest names in comics and manga, and that includes Fairy Tail mangaka and noted Marvel fanboy, Hiro Mashima, arvel Senior Vice President of Creative & Creator Development C.B. Cebulski, Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada, and Marvel Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso.
