The Machi Asobi event in Tokushima recently held a stage program for Fate/kaleid liner PRISMA ILLYA. During the program, the staff and cast unveiled a new trailer for its upcoming film, as well as its release date. Officially titled “Fate/kaleid liner PRISMA ILLYA movie Yukishita no Chikai”, the film will premiere in Japan on 26 August 2017.

The film will be a direct sequel to the Fate/kaleid liner PRISMA ILLYA 3rei TV anime, and picks up where it left off. Illya and friends are still stuck in Miyu’s home world, and they also have to save her from the Ainsworths. The event also revealed a brand new key visual, which also features Shirou Emiya.

Mai Kadowaki will once again reprise her role as Illyasviel Von Einzbern for the film. She also visited Tokushima for Machi Asobi, and she certainly got busy signing a lot of Illya promotional material.

Familiar Fate series seiyuu will also be reprising their roles for the new Prisma Illya film. These include Noriaki Sugiyama as Shirou Emiya, as well as his “father”, Rikiya Koyama as Kiritsugu Emiya. Noriko Shitaya will also star in the film as Sakura Matou, while Kaori Nazuka reprises her role as Miyu.
