Heads up Tokyo Ghoul fans, because it looks like Sui Ishida’s bestselling horror series is planning a few big things. Of course, one of them is the upcoming live-action film starring Masataka Kubota. Now, Shochiku’s official YouTube channel has started streaming a new trailer complete with English subtitles.

The trailer also previews the movies theme song, “Banka, by RADWIMPS member and songwriter, Youjirou Noda. The song also serves as his first solo project.

Kentarou Hagiwara is directing the film, which has now finished principal screening. It follows Ken Kaneki, a boy who meets a beautiful girl, who turns out to be a man-eating ghoul. However, they meet an accident as she tries to eat him, and now, he suddenly becomes a half-human, half-ghoul hybrid. Now, Ken Kaneki faces two worlds which are at war with each other.

As for the other huge Tokyo Ghoul project, it features the artworks done by creator Sui Ishida. The mangaka’s twitter artworks will be framed and displayed on a special gallery at Shinjuku Station’s east exit gate north passage.

The gallery will display a total of 27 of Sui Ishida’s twitter artworks. They will be displaying the artworks for a week, starting this 19th June. They are also running a twitter campaign where 25 lucky entrants will get to win printed versions of these artworks.
