Hyouka is getting its own live-action film, and it stars Kento Yamazaki and Alice Hirose as the two leads. Now, the official website has revealed the film’s very first trailer, as well as a brand new key visual. This new visual features Yamazaki as Houtarou Oreki and Alive Hirose as Eru Chitanda.
As the new trailer reveals, two-member unit Itowokashi, performs the film’s theme song, “Lolite”. The duo previously performed the OP and ED theme songs for the Twin Star Exorcists TV anime.
Based on the hit Kyoto Animation series, Hyouka, which in itself is based on Honobu Yonezawa’s mystery novel, the movie will follow the adventures of the Classic Literature Club, which not only gathers classic literature stories, but also solves some mysteries.
The live-action Hyouka film premieres on 3rd November 2017 across theaters in Japan. Mari Asato, who made a name with horror flicks like Zero the Movie, will be directing this mystery film.
