Akimi Yoshida’s “BANANA FISH” will begin its broadcast run soon, and what better way to commemorate the upcoming release by teaming up with convenience store chain Lawson to sell — well, banana smoothies?! Let’s just hope it’s all bananas and no fish in this unusual collaboration release for an animated series!

As reported in late 2017, BANANA FISH will be getting an anime TV series adaptation by Studio MAPPA (of “Yuri on Ice” fame). The show will begin airing on 5th July 2018 on Fuji TV’s Noitamina block in Japan, as well as Amazon Prime Video worldwide.
