“Tokyo Ghoul:re” is the sequel to Ishida’s “Tokyo Ghoul”, and follows the story two years after the end of the first series. Having lost his memories Ken Kaneki has assumed the identity of Haise Sasaki, an Associate Special Class Ghoul Investigator. Circumstances have forced his missing memories to return, and he assumed the mantle of the “One-Eyed King” to protect his fellow ghouls from the ghoul-exterminating CCG.
