“Akatsuki no Yona” (lit. ‘Yona of the Dawn’) is a semi-fantasy romance manga originally written/illustrated by Mizuho Kusanagi; and serialised in the shoujo-manga magazine ‘Hana to Yume’ (i.e. Flowers and Dream) by publisher Hakusensha. It has had an anime adaptation by Studio Pierrot that ran for the duration of October 2014 ~ March 2015.

The first theatrical adaptation of the same title was first staged in 2016, so the upcoming production that is commencing performance in November 2018 is basically the continuation of the previous. The new production will focus on the plot developments of the ‘Crimson Destiny’ Arc of the storyline.
