You’ve heard of Touken-Danshi and Sanrio-Danshi, but are you ready for “Doki Doki Unko-Danshi”? Literally “Poop-Boys”, these handsome personifications of your previous meals were borne out of the crazy minds of “Shinya! Tensai Bakabon” (“Late Night! The Genius Bakabon”).

Introduced in a way that follows the most formulaic of tropes for the “otome game” subgenre, the “Doki Doki Unko-Danshi” are traditionally handsome and beautifully voiced like most dating sims aimed at women. The Unko-danshi seiyuu include the likes of Takahiro Sakurai, Toshiyuki Morikawa, Junji Tachibana, Miyu Irino, and veteran actor Arata Furuta.

“Shinya! Tensai Bakabon” is the late night successor of the 1970s-2000s kids comedy series “Tensai Bakabon”, which thrived on off-color gags and toilet humour. The latest series follows the new adventures of Bakabon, his dad (who is the real MC of the series), their dog Unagi-Inu (Eel-dog), and a host of other hilarious characters.
