“Soul Eater” author Atsushi Okubo’s latest work “Fire Force” (“En-en no Shouboutai”) will be getting a TV anime adaptation from david production, the studio that brought to us the hit anime “Cells at Work!” (“Hataraku Saibou”) and the fifth season of “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure”.
“Fire Force” follows the adventures of Shinra Kusakabe, a young boy with the power of human combustion, and the ability to control the flames. Set in an alternate reality version of Tokyo, he joins the 8th Company of the Special Fire Force to chase down rogue criminals with the same combustion ability.
The manga series is currently running and has 16 volumes in total.
