A lot of animation studios in Japan have loads of young and hungry animators wanting to prove themselves.

And now, Toei is shining a spotlight on their own rookie animators with a series of anime shorts they will be releasing for free via YouTube!

The first of these will involve dinosaurs, and is titled Jurassic!

This new anime is inspired by the “Real-Size Koseibutsu Zukan” (Real-Size Extinct Creatures Picture Book) book by Ken Tsuchiya. It is a picture book which details how dinosaurs would look like if they were still alive.

Author Ken Tsuchiya himself is acting as “extinct creatures supervisor”.

The anime’s staff is made up mostly of Toei’s young animators. The anime itself will premiere via YouTube sometime in mid-August 2019. They will reveal more details soon.
