The PlayStation 5 is almost upon us, and Sony is still working on the consoles development as we speak. And now, their PlayStation Blog has dropped new details on this new console’s own controller! They call it the DualSense wireless controller, and it has a few tricks up its sleeve.

They’re still developing the controllers functions, and Sony is now exploring new ways to make the controller lighter, as well as maintain a stronger battery life. They’re also heightening immersion for players by introducing haptic feedback, which “adds a variety of powerful sensations you’ll feel when you play, such as the slow grittiness of driving a car through mud”. And that’s not all. because  they also “incorporated adaptive triggers into the L2 and R2 buttons of DualSense so you can truly feel the tension of your actions, like when drawing a bow to shoot an arrow.”

Unfortunately, Sony removed the “Share” button, though they replaced it with the “Create” button. This would allow players to “create epic gameplay content to share with the world, or just to enjoy for themselves.”

And while they have already revealed the controller, the console itself is still a huge mystery. However, Sony did promise to reveal more details on its functionality soon enough.
