Via Comic Natalie: Haruichi Furudate’s manga “Haikyuu!!” will open the “Haikyuu!! Exhibition” at Shibuya Hikarie in Tokyo on 26th December 2020. “Haikyuu!!” centres on the story of high school student Shoyo Hinata — a volleyball novice, who has partnered up and trained with genius setter Tobio Kageyama. With 43 volumes published, “Haikyuu!!” has exceeded a total circulation of 38 million copies.

A popular boys manga, it has released its final chapter last 20th July 2020 — 8½ years after it started serialization in 2012, with a full-colour 28-page centrefold in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump 33 + 34 double issue.

A TV anime adaptation was broadcast in 2014, with a second and third season following in 2015 and 2016 respectively; the fourth and final season started airing in 2020 to coincide with the end of the manga series. “Haikyuu!!” also has a popular stage adaptation titled “Hyper Projection Play “Haikyuu!!”
