Via Comic Natalie: as previously hinted, Koyoharu Gotouge’s hit manga series “Kimetsu no Yaiba” will be getting its own attraction at Universal Studios Japan from 13th February to 17th September 2022.
“Kimetsu no Yaiba XR Ride” is a VR roller coaster ride where you can experience the fierce battle between Tanjiro Kamado, Kyojuro Rengoku, and other Demon Slayers in 360-degree views. Guests who board the attraction will meet Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Rengoku, and experience fierce demon-slaying battles first-hand.
In addition, “Kimetsu no Yaiba” will be added to the “Hollywood Dream the Ride” attraction at Universal Studios Japan. Two original stories will be shown for a limited period. The first segment, which begins on 17th September will feature a comical conversation between Tanjiro and Rengoku about how they enjoyed the “Kimetsu no Yaiba” rides at Universal Studios.
Last but not least, a “Demon Slaying Corps Special Training Rally” will be held around the park. Guests participate in various special training to find their own “Breathing” technique and graduate to a full-fledged Demon Slayer. If you succeed in the final training test, you will receive a Demon Slayer badge and identification booklet. Check the official website for more details on how to participate.
“Kimetsu no Yaiba” is set during the Taisho Era in Japan where human-eating demons existed, charcoal-seller Tanjiro Kamado had his life changed forever when his family was slaughtered by a demon. He embarked on a journey to avenge his family, and help cure his little sister Nezuko who was cursed into becoming a half-demon.
