While she has been busy as of late, seiyuu Risa Taneda is going on hiatus because of an illness. The news was announced by her own agency,  Office Osawa. According to the announcement, the seiyuu will be taking a break from her voice acting activities to focus on her treatment.

Though what her exact illness is has not been revealed, the agency did note that she really was getting treated. However, she has remained sick, and she opted to go on hiatus to focus on the treatment.

This has prompted one of the anime she is appearing in next season to do a recast for one of her roles. That anime is the upcoming WWW.WORKING!! TV anime, which is a spin-off of the original Working!! TV anime. Taneda was supposed to be a part of the cast, voicing Kisaki Kondou, but due to the hiatus, the character will now be voiced by Nana Mizuki, as announced by the anime’s official website.

Risa Taneda is best known for her roles as Yukina Himeragi in Strike the Blood, Rize Tedeza in Is the Order a Rabbit?, and Kaori Miyazono in Your Lie in April. She is currently voicing characters for this season, such as Erina Nakiri in Shokugeki no Souma and Yatorishino Igsem in Aldermarin on the Sky.

Get well soon Risa Taneda!
