It was revealed that the hero anime, Yuki Yuna is a Hero, is getting a sequel anime that is officially titled Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru: Yuusha no Shou (Yuki Yuna Is a Hero: Hero Chapter). They also revealed a new announcement video for this second season.
This second season will serve as both a prequel and continue where the original anime left off, as the first six episodes of the new anime will be adapting series creator, Takahiro’s Washio Sumi wa Yuusha de Aru prequel light novel series, with the later episodes continuing the story from the first season. New visuals for both parts of the second season have also been revealed:
The anime is slated to premiere sometime in 2017, but will have a special theatrical screening in March before the anime is aired.
