Via Comic Natalie: Due to filming difficulties caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the release of the live-action adaptation of “Mimi wo Sumaseba” (“Whispers of the Heart”) has been postponed indefinitely. The film was originally slated for release on 18th September 2020; a new release date will be announced as soon as it has been decided.

The source manga of the same name was first published in Shueisha’s Ribbon Comics in 1989; it was adapted as an animated theatrical feature by the renowned Studio Ghibli in 1995 (currently available on Netflix). The upcoming live-action film by Sony Pictures Entertainment and Shochiku stars Nana Seino and Toori Matsuzaka.
