Via Comic Natalie: the feature-length film “The Seven Deadly Sins” which wraps up the final chapter of the beloved series will be released on 2nd July 2021 in Japan.

The cast includes familiar names such as Yuki Kaji as Meliodas and Sora Amamiya as Elizabeth. The film will be directed by Takayuki Hamana — who has worked on the feature-length anime “Library Wars: Wings of Revolution” and the TV anime “Prince of Tennis”. The script will be written by Rintaro Ikeda — who was in charge of the TV series screenplay, and will be animated by Studio Dean.

“The Seven Deadly Sins” follows the story of a band of knights in the land of Britannia who are the eponymous “Seven Deadly Sins”. They were disbanded ten years prior after being framed for plotting a coup of the Liones Kingdom. Princess Elizabeth of Liones finds the Sins’ leader Meliodas, and they set off to reunite the Sins, clear their names, and liberate Liones from the corrupted Holy Knights.
